VSS (15/15)
Victini-thetwisterboy09
"Generation 5 was cool" Yeah thanks for that 4 word response. Great effort.
Tepig-firebid1030
"my thoughts on generation 5 it's amazing I guess" Sigh...thanks for doing the challenge but is it too much to ask for more effort than that?
Samurott-trelobarrett123
Vacation (Excused)
Simisage-NegaSub
Gave a very descriptive, praising response about Generation 5. He was mainly pleased by the aesthetic properties and said it did a good job at redeeming Diamond/Pearl/Platinum. It introduced some of his favorite Pokemon.
Blitzle-kietgreen
It wasn't the longest response but not bad. The main points he touched on were liking the Pokemon but not enjoying the new Triple and Rotation Battles.
Gurdurr-shadethedarksoul8
His explanation was lengthy and full of reasonable arguments. Felt that the Generation was full of positives with the biggest drawbacks being the 3rd consecutive Fire/Fighting Starter evolutionary line and Oshawott being overrated.
Petilil-pokemonand9
Spoke highly of this Generation, going over a lot of reason why she enjoyed this Generation but resorted to listing things more than explaining things. Not a bad effort at all.
Darmanitan-ajthespriter06
Made a significant amount of spelling/grammar errors. Didn't make many good points but said his least favorite part of the Anime was changing Team Rocket's personalities to an extent. He praised Darmanitan, saying it helped him beat the Elite 4, and although Gen 5 lacked certain things, it made up for it with many good parts.
Zoroark-firefang20
His response was definitely long enough. Very organized way of handling this challenge, simply listing his likes and his dislikes. It was organized and fun to read. The aspects he liked of Generation 5 exceeded the aspects he disliked.
Emolga-NightBlastingSkitty
Good effort from him with his response. Really liked almost everything about Generation 5 aside from initially excluding older Pokemon, and Stunfisk.
Elgyem-Typemania
Said the Generation was ok but mainly just made some statements and it seemed somewhat uninspired.
Axew-yymastaconfuctious
A very large but meaningful response. Overall, a great generation, with plenty of new features and Pokemon to make an already amazing franchise more amazing. Thought that TMs becoming reusable, being able to buy berries and PP enhancing items, the introduction of one of his favorite Pokemon, Dewott, and stronger available Wild Pokemon (even compared to Cerulean Cave and post-game Sinnoh areas). Also being able to find wings and gems for free while wandering around was something he found useful.
Braviary-PokemonFanKH2
Believes Generation 5 is the best yet and came up with descriptive and organized reasons to support his case. Quite impressive.
Heatmor-StepSoneful
Not the longest response but it was well thought out as he made some good points, praising Generation 5's improved graphics in particular.
Volcarona-wifishark8
Response of average quality and length. Enjoyed the Generation, noting the new battles styles, Pokemon World Tournament, and some Pokemon he liked such as Volcarona, Eelektross, and Hydreigon).
KJS (14/15)
Pignite-gopokemon121
Not the best sign of effort you'll ever see. Basically said "Generation 5 was a disappointment, the Pokemon weren't creative or appealing". From a neutral standpoint it doesn't really tell me much.
Dewott-gamecity12
Provided a lengthy response but there were several spelling/grammar errors and at times I felt like his response was getting nowhere but I see legitimate signs of effort.
Panpour-joshytje5
It was a response that was a bit on the shorter and less-detailed side. All he said was it took him a while to warm up to this Generation but he ended up really like it and the Pokemon it introduced.
Simipour-mrlaughybot2
"Ehh....they did a lot worse than they could've". That was it. Thanks for that "GREAT" response. A little more effort next time?
Sawk-shadowthehedgehog125
It was an ok, positive response. Loved the storyline and PWT but could've done a better job expanding more on his thoughts.
Whimsicott-SuperPlatformer
His response was long and though provoking. Said each Generation gets better and better, and that Generation 5 is no exception. Mentioned a lot of concepts and Pokemon that he loved.
Sandile-nintendofan204
Had a lot of well written, positive things to say about Generation 5, with the only real downside being certain similarities between BW1 and BW2 and the encounter rate for wild Pokemon.
Maractus-rocerdude404
The response was somewhat short and although he stated he liked the Generation, he only covered the design aspect which is ok but there was a lot more to Generation 5 than that.
Scrafty-redfrog45
A very good job in this challenge while thinking Generation 5 was great. Explained every argument thoroughly, saying the plot and gameplay was fun and interesting. The only flaw being many Pokemon weren't too memorable.
Zorua-BlackKirby108
Didn't do the challenge; Earns 1 strike.
Ducklett-shadowkirby10100
Came up with a decent length, positive review about Generation 5 especially for someone who's not that familiar with Pokemon games.
Swanna-kevandkeith42120
Gave a long response. Noted several positives, such as Team Plasma, the creative gyms this Generation had (especially Castelia City gym), certain Pokemon (Sandile, Ducklett, Zorua, and their evolutions). The only real problems he had were in Black/White being unable to encounter older Pokemon straight away (too original for nostalgic gamers) and the lack of a console game (Stadium, Colosseum, PBR, etc.). Overall this generation was a good one, especially compared to Gen 4.
Mienshao-TheVaporeon123
Gave a mixed review but following his thoughts wasn't the easiest thing I ever did. Complained the lack of things to do after beating the Elite 4 (which is not entirely true; there's a good portion of Unova left to explore at that) but enjoyed the graphics and triple battles.
Virizion-TheLazyRiku
His response was interesting because it equally represented both ends of the argument. It seemed like it was a hit or miss Generation in the eyes of most Pokemon fans, but I'm glad I read this because it was a perfect example of middle ground.
Keldeo(Resolute)-Franky494
Gave a long, detailed, positive review of this Generation, enjoying the multitude of new, interesting characters and challenging battles.
MRS (14/15)
Oshawott-TheLazySora
"I was honestly disappointed by it, it was like pokemon was trying to start over which is fine, but the pokemon they used were just so unlikable that I was disappointed" Everyone is entitled to their opinion but this was pretty short and uninteresting.
Purrloin-dudeski7373
The response was sub-par. Stated Generation 5 was his least favorite but didn't really have much facts or points to back up that claim aside from "I didn't like how only Gen 5 Pokemon were available in B/W but in B/W2 when it changed, it didn't feel right".
Pidove-Rhbkblader88
Gave a very lengthy response and covered a lot of topics. Did a decent job and came to the consensus that the positives and negatives of the Generation balanced each other out.
Unfezant(M)-matthewvp18
"I think Generation 5 could've done a lot better" A short, disappointing response.
Zebstrika-TheZappingZebstrika
The response was lengthy, detailed, and organized. Noted a lot of interesting positive aspects but didn't like there not being an order to battling the Elite 4 and Castelia City's gym being hard to fine. Overall he found the generation quite enjoyable.
Audino-monok1998
I was impressed by the response, which mostly praised Generation 5. Had both good and bad reactions to how in Black and White only new Pokemon were available at the start, and I appreciated the reference to one of the funniest parts of IGN's review of the games.
Sewaddle-babycakes123tdifan
It was a little on the shorter side but it made me laugh. Really liked the generation, especially certain Pokemon such as Gothorita.
Lilligant-clilmama33830
Gave a good response and noted some positives that few others did in this challenge, such as the improvements in the music.
Cofagrigus-THEDKA3
Did an ok job. Made several good points supporting why he thought Generation 5 was good but could've expanded on them a bit more. He mainly just said certain things were great which is cool but not the best response compared to others.
Cinccino-Bunpuffy
Gave a decent description on why this generation was "weak", due to an excess of Pokemon types/colors she didn't like, missing Brock's obsessions with women, and a lack of a coordinator, with coordinators being one of her favorite aspects of the anime. However, she spoke highly of the video games with many cool features such as Nimbasa City's activities and Triple Battles.
Reuniclus-tpidude73
Didn't do the challenge; Earns 1 strike.
Cubchoo-less4u2c
Her response was not too long but it was full of good points and arguments. Really enjoyed the Generation, noting positives such as the available Pokemon prior to the Elite 4 in Black/White and the variety of landscapes the Unova region had to offer.
Beartic-BlackMagic622
Excused due to internet issues.
Bouffalant-jacobwinner1999
Wrote a lot in his response and thought highly of Generation 5, saying stuff along the lines of it was just the right difficulty and the gameplay greatly improved from previous generations.
Meloetta(Pirouette Form)-PokeDiva101
Was very organized and detailed in her response, making several good (most positive points), including the originality in the Elite 4's typing for Generation 5.
GDA (14/15)
Snivy-LolliPopGirlMeow
Showed a lot of effort and enthusiasm in her response, and noted that her favorite part of Generation 5 was the story-line. She explained her argument supporting that claim very extensively, but it left other parts of her response more to be desired.
Serperior-BOOLOVER57
A bit of a short response that lacked sufficient details. Mainly just said Generation 5 was alright; it had weird Pokemon but Serperior was cool.
Excadrill-TheACF12
His response was interesting because he said the games were OK but by the way he talked he gave a more negative review.
Palpitoad-shadowduck7
Didn't do the challenge; Earns 1 strike.
Leavanny-masterofflam
Had a good-length response and explained how he had high expectations for this Generation that weren't very satisfied.
Scraggy-ForrestMightyena247
Showed great effort and had an interesting approach, showing many signs of mixed feelings of Generation 5, which has been a rare occurrence for some reason during this Generation.
Garbodor-xtiandg0914
Did an ok job, saying the Generation was merely ok. Wasn't a have of initially only being able to catch Generation 5 Pokemon and the Gym Leaders and Pokemon weren't good nor bad. He enjoyed the story-line.
Vanilluxe-DoubleJEspejwan6
Even though it's just the first challenge, the amount of work he put in made it seem like he was trying to persuade the jury to vote for him to win. I really appreciate the effort and made some great arguments with very organized thoughts, praising the new types of battles, the Pokemon, the Gym Leaders, and just the expansion of gameplay in many different dimensions.
Escavalier-TheMysterious2634
Viewed Generation 5 as a great one with a multitude of positives, with the only real bummer being the 3rd Generation in a row with a Fire/Fighting starter Pokemon. Really looks forward to Generation 6.
Joltik-ShinyStoutland
A short response but quality undoubtedly made up for quantity. Really enjoyed Generation 5 and especially praised how Black 2 and White 2 really made the Generation better. It was a joy to read.
Galvantula-chimchar279
Only covered the designs of the new Pokemon and described the generation as "hit-or-miss" in that sense, with really good and really poorly designed Pokemon.
Ferrothorn-2319mi
I was intrigued with his interesting tale of how Generation 5 was the era in which his interest for Pokemon was reborn, and with many positive aspects such as cool Pokemon, characters, villains, and story-line, his passion for Pokemon was reignited.
Golurk-PoryfulZ
Gave a very long, detailed, interesting, and powerful summary. That is, except for the anime portion where his hatred towards Cilan made me laugh.
Bisharp-regice112
Put in a decent amount of effort in this challenge as he pointed out how the storyline was awesome this Generation along with introducing Oshawott, his favorite starter Pokemon
Durant-Woodenfan
Gave a very descriptive, praising response about Generation 5. Noted the interesting characters such as N and Ghetsis and enjoyed many new aspects such as the Medal Rally and Pokemon World Tournament.
1st Victini SS (Immunity)
Pretty good performance overall; every player did the challenge
2nd Genesect DA (Vote 1 player off)
1 person failed to do the challenge; impressive performances by certain players
3rd Keldeo JS (Vote 1 player off)
1 person failed to do the challenge; individual efforts not bad but felt Genesect's were better
4th Meloetta RS (Vote 2 players off)
1 person failed to do the challenge; I had to remind half the team to do the challenge and some weak performances made it hard to give them a higher position.
Please pardon the whited-out sections. I'm still getting the hang of this so I'm not sure how that happened. Highlighting the whited-out sections reveals the text so it all works out :)
